The selected communities of this project are based on many Colorado residents who need to become more informed on basic response protocols for environmental or emergency-based situations. Colorado's cultural deficiencies may also play a significant role in how to live with wildlife and environmental education awareness to maintain Colorado's rich ecosystem. This project aims to help participants who may need assistance identifying ecological changes, knowing proper preparedness needs, or understanding adequate communication requirements to prepare or alert the community. While most of Colorado's natural habitat is integrated within urban and rural living areas, the state's unpredictable landscape can change the priorities for residents without warning. This project targets participants who require additional resources to understand all areas of EE (Environmental Education) literacy and preparedness. Colorado's rural and underserved areas also have many young adults looking to support the state's responder system for environmental alerts and general emergency response. By providing participants aged 16 or older with trained skills, this project fulfills Colorado youth's eagerness to build awareness for the community's needs with culturally relevant training and ecological mindfulness through a non-politically challenged process.
