Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables can be placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end; uploaded as supplemental content.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

The criteria for publication of submitted content for TSD should be:

  • Original work (the main results and conclusions must not have been published or submitted within other journals)
  • Significant importance to the targeted Issue or Volume theme
  • Significacant content for the interdisciplinary reader.
  • The title should be no more than 20 words
  • Abstracts should be no more than 250 words
  • Articles should  no more than 4,500 words
  • Literature Reviews should be no more than 1,000 words

Figures & Graphics

You may include a limited number of graphics and charts. Only 4 (figures and/or tables) will be selected for publishing. Please note that schemes should not be used and should be presented as figures instead. Infographics and supporting data visuals may also be submitted within this section
