The review includes the percentage of filed complaints when healthcare providers violate patients' rights (Larijani, 2011) and the success rate of resolving the matter that educates the patient and enhances provider policies (Reader, 2014). This method of filing instantly escalates a concern without equitable review on behalf of all parties involved. Reviewing procedures of The Joint Commission and the internal review of the health care provider allows the report to determine inconsistencies with the presumption of patient rights or the deficiencies in creating an informed patient (Bendell-Lyons & Power, 2001). In contrast, providers can abuse patient ignorance to avoid complaints and marginalize concerns that prolonge the post-COVID-19 interest in repairing health disparities and improving racial and cultural biases within healthcare trust and morale (Poland & Harihara, 2022).
